Honey wants to let you know that today she went on her bed out into the garden just beside the ward and it did her a lot of good. I read to her from Brandon Bays' The Journey. Birds flitted in the bushes. Honey came back to her room with more of an appetite (a few pieces of fruit in four days). She tried a bit of cooked food and managed a fair portion.
Yesterday she accepted a first dose of chemo. It's a very mild dose so as to minimise any effect upon Pema. Small waves of nauseau ensued but are being kept at bay by anti-sickness drugs. Honey is still very tired and can barely speak to anyone.
We are returning though from the edge of doom to the boundless space of creative exceptional living.

Glad to hear from you both, you are very much in my thoughts. Before I read your post I had been thinking a lot about whether honey would be able to go to a garden, so much so that my wee C and I spent a lot of the last two days drawing gardens and thinking about you all. I am thinking about the lovley times honey and I have had, and how much we have giggled (till I nearly peed myself) and sending some of those happy energies in strong faith that we'll be doing it again soon enough. All love to you both, pema and the two beauties. Alice A.
Ps. (hope the crystals arrived - they were sent on Thurs special delivery, directly from the lady that supplied them so there was no note inside.)
Oh, I'm so pleased you got outside into the garden, Honey! I was hoping so much that would happen, I always think of you when I'm in the garden eating fruit.
So glad the garden has given you both much needed peace and respite. May it continue.
Thank you for the update - much appreciated and I hope you don't mind me saying, Mr Man, that I can see from your excellent writing at least something of what Honey sees in you!
Dear Mr M and Honey. Thanks for the update. I am sooo relieved Honey, that you got to be outside of that hospital room and enjoy some lovely air and garden views. Just let the chemo do its work now, though i can imagine how you feel about it... From later this morning onwards we will be away for three weeks with only very occasional access to Internet, but I'll be thinking of you all the time and sending you positive vibes and energy. Lots of love, diane
Thank you for the update, MM and I'm so glad to hear that Honey managed to get an appetite after being in the garden. Thank you for being there and looking after her so well, and my love to you both. xxx
Hey Mr Man & Honey
Hope she is doing better today. Give her all our love and best wishes
Patrick
I am glad things seem to be perking up a little. That was a bad valley. Knowing Honey there will still be many many peaks. Love, Marianne
Dear Mr Man and Honey, Thanks for the post. It really helps to know what is going on. I was trying to send a text to Mr Man's mobile over the weekend but it didn't seem to work. Wanted to send it to his mobile not yours so you didn't feel under pressure to look at texts. Anyway, it didn't work but it doesn't matter. I just wanted to say that I'm thinking of you both all the time and send you my love. I'm so glad you got out in the garden. I'm not far away and can come if you have a moment when you feel stronger. But for the moment just rest and rest and rest. Much love to you both, Alice
Dear Mr Man and

Sending waves of love to you both.
Thank you for the updates MM, and I do hope that Honey can venture into the garden more often - time outdoors should be part of everyone's treatment. Big hugs to you all.

Dear Mr Man and dear honey, I am sorry that i did not see your post from yesterday and sent a message on my way to you; it is a relief to know that you are better and, reading you both I can see that you are so bound by the same wonderful way of writing what is; The boundless creative exceptional living experience is there. Am thinking of honey and send her lots of love and waves of strengh and courage for the days and weeks and months and year ahead. Big hugs Florence
Hi there both
I have just spent the weekend with my folks and I was telling them about your news and my Dad asked me to say that they were thinking of you. I am glad you've been able to spend some time outside, I've just been to eat my lunch outside and although not sunny, it's just nice being outside in the fresh air. Hope you have a good afternoon. Bye for now Justinex
I have an idea. Instead of emailing Honey, which we all do, how about we create a new blog called Honey's Homeys or something similar, with open postings? Then we could all put up fun stuff for her to enjoy.
What do people think?
We could still send her more personal emails, but it would take the fat out of her email in-tray.
Hugs to all
Marianne
I think that is a good idea Marianne - I had been thinking about doing the exact same thing. If you want a hand then let me know. Alice A.
Brill idea!
I'd like to be able to post funny pics and happy words to help make her smile!

Dear honey
I hope that the chemo won't make you too weak, and that you will be able to enjoy your family and partner. I won't be able to see this blog until august as we will be on holiday, which is why I already want to wish you the best of luck, strength and courage for the delivery of Pema. I do hope that the presence of Trish will help you, and that Pema will be able to stay in the same hospital as you.
All the best to you all, also to your wonderful Mr Man, who is taking such great care of you and everything.
Ute
